My sisters and I are currently learning how to play the piano . (my twin , Brooke and my older sister , Brittany) My Nana plays piano at our church and is now teaching us to play . It is definitely harder than I expected it to be , but aren't most things in life that way ? We've had several lessons now ; each filled with lots of new information : both exciting and overwhelming . In my opinion , the piano makes the most beautiful sounds ; so elegant and graceful they sweep you off your feet and take you to some magical place that only you know about . Although learning , I'm still no where near perfecting the ways of the piano or even making those beautiful sounds . But I think that brings up an important life lesson that everyone should understand , that when you do try something new giving up shouldn't be an option . Don't ever let defeat get the best of you ... Here is a quote that inspires me-

My mom and grandparents always tell me that whatever it is I do whether it's school , or playing softball , learning piano , ANYTHING- that I do it to the best of my ability and nothing less .
It's ok not to be perfect at something (I know I have trouble taking that one in) but just as long as you give it your best that's all that matters . I hope someday I can play the piano like my Nana does , and whatever your dream/passion is , I hope you conquer it .
